Entrepreneurs submit an application, which is first reviewed by an internal panel. A shortlist of applications is then evaluated by an external third-party panel to determine the final cohort of participants.

Applications open July 20th, 2026 and close August 12th, 2026.

Selected participants take part in a series of five virtual workshops focused on strengthening their businesses and preparing for the pitch process. Sessions are designed to build core entrepreneurial skills and support business growth.

Workshop dates:

September 10th - 5:30-7:30 p.m.

September 15th - 5:30-7:30 p.m.

September 17th - 5:30-7:30 p.m.

September 22nd - 5:30-7:30 p.m.

September 24th - 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Following the workshop series, participants will come together for an in-person cohort gathering and celebration on the evening of October 7th. This event provides an opportunity to build relationships, connect with facilitators and partners, and strengthen the sense of community within the cohort.

To support province-wide participation and ensure equitable access, travel and accommodation costs for participants may be covered.

On October 8th, while participants are together for the cohort gathering, they will take part in the semi-final pitch round. Each entrepreneur will present their business to a panel of judges, who will evaluate the pitches and select the finalists.

Finalists advance to the SOAR Pitch Finale, where they present to a live audience and judging panel. Winners are selected and awarded a share of the cash prize.
